How long should the fic be?
Ideally, I would like for them to be at least 1000 words, but working on such a tight schedule, I realize that may not be possible for everyone. Aim for about 750 words minimum; basically, write more than a drabble.

What pairings can I request?
Basically, anything that includes at least one participant in one of the Idol competitions; this includes hosts and judges. Although, a warning: requests in rarer Idol shows may not be filled, so try to make at least one of your pairings from American or possibly Canadian Idol. Crossovers can be requested, but again, don't request ONLY crossovers, and try to make sure the other person is relatively well-known for best results. And since an overwhelming amount of fics in this fandom are slash (male/male or female/female), I'll go ahead and make this a slash-only endeavor.

What can I put under the "cannot write" option?
I know that some people just aren't comfortable writing about certain people or certain types of fiction, and I want to make sure these needs are met. For example, if you have an irrational aversion to Josh Gracin, put his name there. If you don't think you'd be able to handle writing a sexually explicit fic, put that there. I encourage everyone to stretch their boundaries a bit and be willing to try new things, but at the same time, don't paint yourself into a corner.

How flexible are the deadlines?
I plan on following the deadlines rather strictly, again because of the tight timeframe. Unless you have a very compelling explanation, late fics will not be accepted. I will try to have people ready to write backup fics if people are late, but I'd prefer not to have to go to those measures. So keep an eye on your calendar!

What do I do if I absolutely can't do any of my assignment pairings?
Hopefully this won't happen, but if it does, email me as soon as possible to explain the situation. I'll do what I can; you may become one of the backup fic writers, I'm not sure. Something will be worked out.
